Note: In libertarian circles, there are two major types of Libertarians, Randian and PaleoConservative. Those few of you who read this may wonder why an "L" would be bitching about illegal immigration, so you should understand that I am a member of the latter, PaleoCon, group. (ie., I believe in the Constitution and basic tenets of national sovereignty such as border integrity.)

It's the question that haunts us, "Why does Bush do it?" Harriet Miers? The Ports Deal? Spending? CAFTA? And now, immigration? The true believers and Kool-Aid drinkers have a plethora of terms for us, the majority non-conformists, "my way or no way conservatives," "sexist," "racist," and "isolationists."
I would love to delve into the many marvels of King George, but I intend to focus solely on the issue at hand, immigration, in this post. It is merely so that the dear reader of these thoughts will understand the tidal wave of bile this writer is intending to unleash on the administration/neo-con moderate liberal establishment of the GOP that I list these grievous appellations and insults which have been brooked by we the adults of the conservative movement as the wayward children of our success , conservatives-turned-moderate GOP'rs, squander the gains of the last three decades.
Today's discussion will delve into asking the hard, the unlikely, and the truly distasteful questions of why the President and his spear-catching minions not only ignore the will of the people on immigration, but are using similar tactics to silence the loyal opposition. I cannot speak for the president, nor his legion of useful idiots, but I can come to some interesting conclusions if I ask the right questions. Others have asked the right micro-immigration questions more ably than can I, so I will seek to limit myself to policy questions.
Herein lies the rub...
We are given many reasons, none of them candid, for supporting the Bush/Fox/Kennedy/McCain/Specter(/etc.) illegal immigrant guest-worker amnesty plans. "Family values don't stop at the Rio Grande." "...jobs that Americans (or Blacks, according to Fox) won't do." "We have to address the problem pragmatically." "We need to face things the way they are, not the way we wish they were." "Deportation is racist." And my personal fave, "We (Mexicans) were here first (and we're taking it back from THE MAN)."
None of these canards need addressing, as they are mere propaganda. The issue is that the US government is making history in that it is responding to the single largest protracted international violation of our laws by not only looking the other way, but also by preparing to tailor our laws so that our laws don't get in the way of the lawbreakers. WHY?
In making this painful realization, one must necessarily rule out the usual factors such as stupidity, ignorance, and bureaucracy, and realize that this is, in fact, intentional and willful. Why would the US government alter US law at the behest of a foreign power after courting the foreign power for an extended period of favor? Natural conclusion: to court the foreign power. This would explain the disregard for popular opinion and the rewrite of the laws.
Who cares what Vicente Fox(Pres.-Mexico) thinks? What does he have that you and I need? Nothing, but Bush will need his help on other things, such as his upcoming NAFTA CAFTA FTAA fight. The architects of the FTAA have already made their wishes for a North American superstate well-known. You are starting to see the advances they have made...

In another development here in Texas, the Mexican
army is crossing the border to bring help to New Orleans and its
stranded citizens. This is the first time Mexican military troops have
crossed into Texas since 1846, during the war between the United States
and Mexico that resulted in Mexico losing the vast area now known as
the American southwest. The Mexican soldiers will not be armed and the
35 trucks in the convoy will be loaded with blankets, water, food and
mobile kitchens.
Mexican President Vicente Fox brushed aside complaints from some
opponents who said he should have sought Congressional approval for the
operation, saying that no such approval is needed for a humanitarian
mission.
The nation is being invaded by illegal civilian migration and at will by foreign military power, and yet our president and congress insist that they are fighting to make us more "secure." Is this the work of a bunch of lunatics, or an organized, duplicitous, globalist scam being perpetrated on the American people, so that they will be unaware that they are losing their nation until they've been subjugated and have been diluted to the point of losing their political powers, after which point they will have no choice but to revolt or accept the superstate without any say in the matter?
I swore an oath to defend the Constitution from enemies, foreign and domestic. It seems that the Constitution is indeed endangered from within and without. There is a component of the GOP true believer brigade that is merely a fifth column of useful idiots on this issue, but the President and other leaders who are backing this while turning a blind eye to invasion are not doing so out of error. If I can pull down these numbers online, they have to know much more than do I, which rules out ignorance. Therefore, I must assume that this is as they have stated, a step down the path of dissolving our nation.
What is our recourse, and what are we willing to sacrifice to save our land?
